Terms of use and sale

Effective 25 September 2026. Version 2026-09-25. Read archived policy versions.

These terms govern the free study material, accounts and paid question banks on this CIPP/US guide.

Operator and contact

The service is operated by Victor Humenhuk, an Israeli sole trader, at Allenby Street 38, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel. Contact studyguides@thesmios.com.

Eligibility

You may read the free material without an account. You must be at least 18 to create an account or make a purchase. You must provide accurate account information and protect your sign-in details.

The service

Independent study guide with exam-style practice questions. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by IAPP.

The service provides study notes, diagnostics and exam-style practice based on published certification outlines and primary sources. Released question banks exclude retained source blocks labelled as third-party practice material. The service does not provide legal advice, examination admission, certification or a guaranteed result.

Purchases and Paddle

Paddle is the merchant of record and authorised reseller for paid question-bank purchases. Paddle processes the payment, tax, receipt, refund and chargeback. Paddle's Buyer Terms also govern the purchase.

Each certification question bank is sold separately for the price shown at checkout. One-time purchase. Access for as long as Thesmios continues to operate this question bank.

Purchases in the iPhone and iPad app

The AIGP Prep app is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment, tax, receipt and any refund. Apple's Media Services Terms and the Licensed Application End User License Agreement also govern the app. An in-app purchase unlocks the question bank in the app on devices that use the same Apple Account. It is separate from purchases on this website. One-time purchase. Access for as long as Thesmios continues to operate this question bank.

Digital delivery and cancellation rights

Access begins after Paddle confirms a completed transaction. Paddle's checkout records any consent or acknowledgement required for immediate digital delivery. Paddle's current Refund Policy lists a 14-day withdrawal period for some consumer purchases in Israel, the EU, the EEA, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Eligibility can depend on the buyer's location, the product and whether use has begun.

Nothing in these terms removes a mandatory cancellation, refund or consumer right that applies in your country.

Your licence

A purchase gives one adult buyer a personal, non-transferable right to use the relevant question bank. You may not share account access, republish paid material, sell copies, scrape the service or bypass access controls.

Availability and changes

We may correct, replace or remove material as laws, guidance and examination coverage change. We may suspend access to protect the service, investigate misuse or comply with law. We will not describe temporary maintenance as termination of the question bank.

Refunds

Paddle handles refund requests under its Refund Policy. The separate refund page explains the practical route. A completed refund ends access to the refunded question bank.

Intellectual property and trade marks

The site's design, explanations and released question bank are protected by applicable intellectual property law. IAPP and the certification names and marks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the examinations studied.

Responsibility and liability

You remain responsible for examination registration, study choices and professional decisions. The service may contain errors or become outdated.

To the extent the law permits, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by reliance on study material or service interruption. Nothing excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, personal injury caused by negligence or mandatory consumer remedies.

Governing law

Israeli law governs these terms. A consumer keeps any mandatory protection and court rights that apply in the consumer's home country.

Changes and contact

Material changes apply from the date shown on the updated version. Earlier versions remain in the policy archive. Questions and complaints can be sent to studyguides@thesmios.com.
